Arlington, NJ - Ch. 8627 - $5 1902 Red Seal

This Hudson County New Jersey red seal turned up just 100 miles down the road in Columbia, SC. How it made it from North Jersey to the Palmetto state is anyone's guess; but that is the great thing about national currency, it can show up anywhere. If you look in the census you will see a $5, $10, and $20 #1 red seal listed for this bank. It is our understanding that while these notes do exist, they are not held by collectors and are likely to never be available for sale. The good news is that this serial #7 three fold XF is very much available and will be sold to the highest bidder tonight. This is of course by far the most interesting note from this one bank town to ever be offered for sale publicly.
