Canada, Montreal - City Bank $1 Jan 1 185_ Proof

A lovely black and white proof of this early Montreal note that has four ample margins and vividly printed details. This is at the very least a rare proof. We could find no other auction appearances. The Apparent grade was assigned for a couple of small, barely discernible mounting remnants on the back.
