Continental Currency - July 22, 1776 $30 Contemporary Counterfeit

Here is a counterfeit that dates back to the 1770s. I wonder if the counterfeiter was caught and put to death, as was the threat against counterfeiters back during that time period. This piece is very high quality and very deceptive.
