Pittsburgh, PA - Ch. 675 - Original Series $2 First Charter

This is just a great title for a Pittsburgh bank, The Iron City National Bank. This comes out of a very old collection that just turned up near Pittsburgh. Many of the scarce PA notes offered today are being seen for the first time by the collecting community. Our best guess would be that this collection was assembled in the 1950s, because nothing was in the census or had ever before been recorded. This lazy deuce is a choice VF. It has great signatures and wholly original surfaces. Since this is an expensive item, we will mention a tiny split in the upper left margin; that is the only remotely negative comment we can muster about this peach.
