Winnemucca, NV - Ch. 3575 1902 $5 Blue Seal
The First National Bank of Winnemucca is famous with numismatists because it was the only charter in the state of Nevada to issue brown backs. However, it might be much more infamous as being one of the banks robbed by Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. So this is a chance to own a rare piece of history tied to a legend of the old west. In terms of condition, this note is perfect for the grade. The surfaces are original and the purple signatures are still present. There are just 15 large notes reported for the town, and as far as we can tell, this is by far the nicest blue seal ever to be offered at auction.
