Georgetown, OH - Ch. 2705 - 1929 $10 Type2 Uncut Sheet
This is a nifty new addition to the Ohio census. This is a type2 $10 uncut sheet that hails from the famous Colonel Green collection. His secretary's notation is between the fifth and sixth note on the sheet. Colonel Green wrote to banks when new national banknotes were issued. He asked for each bank's first sheet and he was actually able to put together quite a collection. These sheets were then offered back to the banks many years later. So while an uncut sheet is itself very rare and interesting; it is always better when there is an origination story to go with it. In terms of condition, the top and bottom note each have a small margin tear and the sheet has been folded between the notes. Of course the value of this item is in the serial number and the fact that it is a sheet; the condition is secondary.
