Newnan, GA - Ch. 1861 - $1 Original Series

This is the last of three chances to obtain a Georgia ace in today's auction. The previous census listed four $1 notes for the state. The condition of those four are listed as poor, two at VG, and one at Fine 12. This new addition, while still in the Fine category, is now not only the technically highest grade of the group but it also certainly has the most eye appeal. The note is in as found condition with absolutely no restoration. No pinholes, tears, or repairs are present. The two serial numbers and spiked seal are a vibrant red and especially bright for the grade.
