Spirit Lake, IA - Ch. 8032 - 1902 $10 Red Seal

I know that many people consider the $100 brown back on Spirit Lake to be the best Iowa note, and it certainly is a stunner. However, I absolutely love this red seal and it would be on a top ten Iowa list for me. It turned up for the first time in 2007 and this is its only appearance since then. If you are working on a state red seal set, you would be hard pressed to find a better example from Iowa. I should also add that when it comes to trading with museums and other collectors, it never hurts having the best note on an Iowa charter. This could certainly be a very strategic purchase for a savvy collector with foresight.
