Daytona, FL - Ch. 10545 - 1902 $20 Plain Back

The town of Daytona had a single national bank. It was open from 1914 until 1923. In 1926 the towns of Daytona, Daytona Beach, Kingston, and Seabreeze all merged together to become Daytona Beach. So in essence, the town of Daytona doesn't even exist anymore, which makes this note even more interesting. This $20 blue seal being offered here is new to the census and it brings the total known population to three; the two other survivors are both in the same collection. This represents a chance for all of Florida's many collectors to add a new town to their national bank note holdings. The note does have a quarter-inch half moon shaped internal tear that could easily be repaired if it for some reason bothered the next owner.
