The Bank of Toronto 2nd Jan 1935 $20 - CH-715-24-14

This $20 note is dated as 1935, but it has the look of a banknote from the late 19th century. In fact, the same design was used previously by The Bank of Toronto as early as 1880. The example here has a really soft center fold, hence the 58 exceptional paper quality grade. This is the highest denomination issued by this bank in 1935. As you might expect, that also makes it the most expensive denomination for the year.
